Our Leaders
Matt Fellowes, Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Matt Fellowes is a consumer finance expert and the founder and CEO of HelloWallet. HelloWallet is a continuation of Matt’s commitment to improve the consumer financial services market through game-changing, strategic innovations that build wealth for everyone.
Prior to HelloWallet, Matt was a Fellow at the Brookings Institution. His consumer finance work has been published in academic journals and covered in top media around the world, including feature stories in BusinessWeek, USA Today, the New York Times, NBC Nightly News, CBS Evening News, and ABC World News, among others. Matt has testified in front of the U.S. Congress and state houses across the country and advised dozens of elected officials, businesses, and banking regulatory agencies on consumer finance issues.
Matt has also served as a professor of public policy at Georgetown University and George Washington University, as a project director at the Pew Charitable Trusts, and on academic editorial boards. A native of Chicago, he holds a PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MPP from Georgetown University, and a BA from St. Lawrence University. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and daughter.
Revell Horsey, President and Chief Financial Officer
Revell Horsey is a financial markets expert and President and CFO of HelloWallet.
Prior to HelloWallet, Revell spent over 20 years in investment banking, during which he advised emerging growth companies and large multinationals on capital markets, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. He has also been active in the social sector, providing strategy consulting and leadership training to organizations with social and environmental missions.
Between 1996 and 2003, Revell served in a variety of senior management positions at Montgomery Securities and Bank of America Securities. As global head of Technology corporate and investment banking, he led a team of 150 professionals responsible for the firm’s investment banking and credit relationships in the Technology sector. Prior to running the Technology group, Revell was the global head of the Equity Capital Markets group, in which he lead a team between that executed over $40BB of equity financings for public and private companies. Revell was Chairman of the firm’s Commitment Committee, and a member of the Executive Committee.
Tamas Komlodi, Chief Technology Officer
Tamas Komlodi is an enterprise software expert and CTO of HelloWallet.
Prior to joining HelloWallet, Tamas was the VP of Software Development at Deltek where he led a multi-national team of 120 software developers. He managed all aspects of software development, architecture development and custom development of the Deltek enterprise product line. Prior to that role at Deltek, Tamas was a Director of Software Development, Manager of Software Development and a Senior Software Architect.
Mia Mabanta, Vice President of Product Strategy
Mia Mabanta is VP of Product Strategy at HelloWallet.
Mia identifies opportunities for product innovation and works with multiple teams within the organization to respond to them. She has been a member of the HelloWallet family since the beginning, when she helped to research the widespread need for a personalized, accessible financial guidance solution.
Prior to joining HelloWallet full-time, Mia was a research analyst at the Brookings Institution and a senior associate at the Pew Charitable Trusts. Along with HelloWallet CEO Matt Fellowes, she has published many papers and advised both public and business leaders on how market-based strategies can be used to drive social change. She went to Colgate University.
Steve Wendel, Vice President of Research
Steve Wendel is a modeling and simulation expert and VP of Research at HelloWallet.
Prior to joining HelloWallet, Steve was a software engineer at Pixar Animation Studios and co-founded a political consulting and research firm that pioneered applications of agent-based modeling of political behavior. Steve’s prior research includes optimizing pandemic influenza policy for a multi-year NIH project, and modeling the dynamics of voter and volunteer mobilization. He holds a BA in interdisciplinary studies from the University of California at Berkeley, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and a Masters Degree from Johns Hopkins-SAIS.
Geraldine Le Roux, Manager of Digital Media
Géraldine Le Roux oversees digital media operations at HelloWallet.
Prior to joining HelloWallet, Geraldine was a business analyst with the Corporate Executive Board’s Finance & Strategy practice, where she customized and implemented best practice research at Fortune 1000 companies. She is a native French speaker, pretends to know Spanish, and wishes she spoke Portuguese. Geraldine graduated from McGill University, where she studied economics and political science.
